I have been battling for the last 2 weeks with a security breach on ID-Sphere. It has been hacked and some code is being inserted into post and pages which picks up malicious code from another site. I had to take the site down several times since it is not the intention of ID-Sphere to serve as a delivery device of evil code. It is frustration that really hard work and genuine intentions to offer free knowledge with like-minded people gets troubled by ill minded individuals. After a very time consuming search I finally found the hackers were using sequel injection into the database and basically placed <iframe> tags into the posts calling up code from another site. I have cleaned up the database tables and upgraded some software parts. I truly hope I have finally nailed the security hole.
